Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of CDW-G for furnishing and delivering 56 Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Datacenter Licenses, and 610 Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Client Access Licenses (CAL), for a total sum of $42,840.24.
Body
WHEREAS, up to $15,000 has been approved as part of the 2017 City Carry-Over Budget, and up to $30,000 has been approved as part of the 2018 CIP IT Capital Budget; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department has reported that it is utilizing the cooperative contract initiated by the State of Wisconsin, Microsoft Select Plus Software Contract, # 505ENT-M16-VARSOFTWARE-04, for furnishing and delivering 56 Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Datacenter Licenses, and 610 Microsoft Windows Server 2016 CAL Licenses, and that the proposal received, and attached, is reasonable; and
WHEREAS, these licenses are being purchased to upgrade services to our operating system levels to current technology and to be in compliance with Microsoft licensing standards; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of CDW-G be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated June 21, 2018, submitted by CDW-G for furnishing fifty-six (56) each Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Datacenter Licenses for a total sum of $27,834.24 ($497.04 each), and six hundred and ten (610) each Microsoft Windows Server 2016 CAL Licenses for a total sum of $15,006.00 ( $24.60 each), in accordance with City of West Allis RFQ-18-016, with funding for this purchase to be provided by the 2017 Carryover of $15,000 and the 2018 CIP in the amount of $27,840.24, for a total net sum of $42,840.24, and will be charged to Account No. 352-1101-517.70-09, Miscellaneous Capital Improvements Fund, Software, be and is hereby accepted.
