Resolution to authorize the approval of Pumping Station Operator services with City Water, LLC for the City of West Allis Water Utility not to exceed $130,000.

WHEREAS, the City of West Allis Water Utility is required to maintain continuous, certified operation and monitoring of its water pumping stations to ensure safe, reliable drinking water service and compliance with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Public Service Commission (PSC) regulations; and,
WHEREAS, the City has previously engaged City Water, LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company, to provide professional water utility services, including certified operator support; and,
WHEREAS, City Water, LLC has demonstrated the necessary qualifications, certifications, and experience to provide pumping station operator services, including routine operations support, after-hours SCADA monitoring, and emergency response; and,
WHEREAS, Amendment #1 to the Consulting Agreement between the City of West Allis and City Water, LLC provides for continued professional services for a one-year term beginning January 1, 2026, and establishes compensation rates for certified operator services and after-hours monitoring; and,
WHEREAS, approval of this agreement will ensure continuity of operations, regulatory compliance, and reliable oversight of the City’s water pumping facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute Amendment #1 to the Consulting Agreement with City Water, LLC for Pumping Station Operator Services for the City of West Allis Water Utility, effective January 1, 2026, for a term of one (1) year.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Water Utility is authorized to compensate City Water, LLC in accordance with the approved agreement, including hourly certified operator services, after-hours SCADA monitoring, and applicable premium rates for after-hours and holiday work, subject to budgetary appropriations; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Water Utility Manager and City staff are authorized to administer the agreement and take any actions necessary to implement its terms in the best interest of the City of West Allis.

Adopt
