Title
Resolution to amend certain activities of the FY2014, 2013, 2011 and 2007 annual plans of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.
 
Body
WHEREAS, there are $115,075.35 in various Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") funds, awarded from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD"), to be allocated and transferred to an existing activity after the closing or reduction of other various activities; and,
 
WHEREAS, all CDBG-funded activities must meet national objectives of the CDBG Program, such as assisting the needs of low- to moderate-income people and preventing or eliminating slums or blight; and,
 
WHEREAS, various amendments to funding of existing 2007, 2011, 2013 and 2014 activities are listed below and shall hereby be approved; and,  
 
WHEREAS, the additional funding of said Handicapped Accessibility - City Hall activity meets the CDBG eligibility requirements; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Director of Development recommends the transfer of said CDBG funds.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis, that the following amendments to the FY2014, 2013, 2011 and 2007 Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Action Plans are hereby approved:
 
1)      Amendment to the FY2014 Community Development Block Grant Action Plan,
B-14-MC-55-0011, relative to decreasing the funding of and closing the Senior Citizens Services activity (a 2014 activity) by $5,000.
 
2)      Amendment to the FY2014 Community Development Block Grant Action Plan,
B-14-MC-55-0011, relative to decreasing the funding of and closing the Fire Safety Kid Education activity (a 2014 activity) by $7,000.
 
3)      Amendment to the FY2014 Community Development Block Grant Action Plan,
B-14-MC-55-0011, relative to decreasing the funding of the Community Service Officer activity (a 2014 activity) by $37,500.
 
4)      Amendment to the FY2007 Community Development Block Grant Action Plan,
B-07-MC-55-0011, relative to decreasing the funding of and closing the Six Points/Farmers Market Redevelopment activity (a 2007 activity) by $37,815.35.
 
5)      Amendment to the FY2011 Community Development Block Grant Action Plan,
B-11-MC-55-0011, relative to decreasing the funding of and closing the Six Points/Farmers Market Parking Facility activity (a 2011 activity) by $9,224.
 
6)      Amendment to the FY2013 Community Development Block Grant Action Plan,
B-13-MC-55-0011, relative to decreasing the funding of and closing the Contingency activity (a 2013 activity) by $8,536.
 
7)      Amendment to the FY2013 Community Development Block Grant Action Plan,
B-13-MC-55-0011, relative to decreasing the funding of and closing the Senior Center Improvements activity (a 2013 activity) by $10,000.
 
8)      Amendment to the FY2014 Community Development Block Grant Action Plan,
B-14-MC-55-0011, relative to increasing the funding of the 2014 Handicapped Accessibility - City Hall activity from its original budget of $25,000 to an amended budget of $140,075.35.  The additional funding of $115,075.35 comes from re-programmed 2007, 2011, 2013 and 2014 funds cited above in numbers one (1) through seven (7).
