The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:
 
PART I.      Section 16.62 of the Revised Municipal Code is hereby recreated as follows:
 
16.62      Schedule of Plumbing Permit Fees.
 
(1)      General - Base Fee - Applies to each permit, except affidavit permit.  Includes cross connection inspection of property when required.
(a)      Residential One and Two Family - New Building      $150.00
(b)      Residential One and Two Family - Addition or Alteration      $75.00
(c)      Residential Three or More Family - New Building      $150.00 plus
                              $5.00 per residential unit
(d)      Residential Three or More Family - Addition or Alteration      $75.00
(e)      Non-Residential, Commercial, Industrial or Institutional
- New or Addition      $150.00
- Alteration      $75.00
 
(2)      Water System (includes 1st inspection & test)
(a)      New Connection to Main      $75.00/ea.
(b)      Lateral or Private Main      $75.00/100 l.f. or fraction
(c)      Repair or Terminate System      $75.00
 
(3)      Sanitary Sewer System (includes 1st inspection & test)
(a)      New Connection to Main      $75.00/ea.

(5)      Fixture Outlets - New, Remodel or Capping      $15.00 per outlet
* This schedule shall apply to the following list of fixtures or appliances and includes 1st inspection:  sinks, dishwashers, garbage disposers, bath tubs, showers, wash basins, wash fountains, laundry tubs, automatic washer valves, water closets, urinals, refrigerators, counters, deep freeze cases, drink fountains, bars, soda fountains, funnel connections, water softeners, water filters, sill cocks, water cooled air conditioners, or any other appliances connected with the water supply or drainage systems, floor drains, area drains, catch basins, oil separators, grease traps, manholes, sampling manholes, sumps, ejectors, drain tile receivers, roof drains, conductors, or any receptacle discharging waste into sanitary or storm sewer systems and any other fixture or plumbing device not listed herewith.
 
(6)      Affidavit Permit      $50.00
      One- or two-family use properties only for single fixture or appliance replacement.  No inspection required (see section 16.63).
 
(7)      Commercial Well      $100.00
 
(8)      Well Abandonment (includes 1st inspection)      $75.00
 
(9)      Well Operation Permit  (New & Renewal)      $75.00
 
(10)      Septic System Abandonment (includes 1st inspection)      $75.00
 
(11)      Cross-Connection Inspection & Reinspection (no other plumbing work)
(a)      Residential Use 1 & 2 Family      $75.00
(b)      Residential Use Three or More Family      $150.00
(c)      Non-Residential, Commercial, Industrial or Institutional      $200.00
 
(12)      Inspection
(a)      Reinspection - Each      $75.00
(b)      Inspection Request for Non-Working Hours (overtime) Inspection.

Fee shall be paid prior to inspection.  Charge includes up to
two hours inspection time.
 
(13)      Work Started Before Permit Issued (except emergencies)      Triple Fee
 
(14)      Minimum Permit Fee (except affidavit permit)
(a)      One or two-family use properties      $75.00
(b)      Non one or two-family use properties      $100.00
 
(15)      Plan Review       $40.00/0.5 hrs.
 
(16)      Special Inspection With Written Report      $200.00
 
(17)      Permit Refund.  Excepting plan review fee or special fees, that portion in excess of $100.00 is eligible to be refunded to the permit holder for work not started.  A refund request shall be made in writing to cancel the permit and received in the Department of Building Inspections within 120 days of issuance of the permit.  Requests thereafter are administered in accordance with Common Council Policy & Procedures for permit refunds.
 
(18)      The Director of the Department may waive or reduce the fee of any permit upon proper cause.  Permit fees for City work by City plumber is waived.
 
PART II.      All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
 
PART III.      This ordinance shall take effect after publication and become effective on
June 1, 2010.
