Resolution authorizing and directing the Interim City Engineer to Amend an Existing Agreement with Corre, Inc. for Engineering Consulting Bridge Inspection Services for a Total Sum Not to Exceed $4,620.00.

WHEREAS, The City has an existing agreement with Corre, Inc. for Bridge Inspection
Services at all twelve (12) bridges in the City of West Allis and to prepare plans, specifications and estimates for repairs on the Lincoln Avenue Culvert and the needed repairs on the 124
th Street Culvert for an amount not to exceed $33,384.62; and,

 

WHEREAS, The City will need further assistance from Corre, Inc. to provide Bridge Inspection Services since the Federal Highway Administration and Wisconsin Department of Transportation have implemented complex new bridge inspection and reporting procedures which preclude this task being completed by City staff as was previously done.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the amended proposal dated February 7, 2018 submitted by Corre, Inc. for furnishing Engineering Consulting Bridge Inspection Services for a total sum not to exceed $4,620.00 be and is hereby accepted.  Funding for this project has been budgeted and is available in the Capital Projects Fund with the Engineering Consulting Services being charged to Account Number 350-6008-531.31-01, Public Works Project Activities.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Interim City Engineer be and is hereby authorized to make such non-substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of the Contract, including any and all attachments, exhibits, addendums and amendments, as may be necessary and proper to correct inconsistencies, eliminate ambiguity and otherwise clarify and supplement said provisions to preserve and maintain the general intent thereof, and to prepare and deliver such other and further documents as may be reasonably necessary to complete the transactions contemplated therein.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim City Engineer is authorized, on behalf of the City, to execute the aforesaid contract documents.
