Resolution of Commendation for Alderperson James W. Sengstock.

WHEREAS, Alderperson James W. Sengstock is leaving public service as Alderperson of the City of West Allis after serving 41½ years in this capacity for the City of West Allis; and
WHEREAS, Alderperson Sengstock served as Common Council President from 2004-2012; Chairperson of the Administration & Finance Committee, Board of Public Works, and License & Health Committee; Vice Chairperson of the Public Safety Committee and License & Health Committee; and as a Member of the Advisory Committee and Safety & Development Committee during his 41½ years of service; and
WHEREAS, Alderperson Sengstock also served on the Committee for Economic Development, the Economic Development (Partnership) Committee, the Block Grant Committee, and as an Ex Officio Member of the West Allis Community Improvement Foundation; and
WHEREAS, Alderperson Sengstock has faithfully and conscientiously served the citizens and businesses of the Fifth Aldermanic District of West Allis during his tenure; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Sengstock has contributed significantly to the health and vitality of the Fifth Aldermanic District and the entire City of West Allis; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Sengstock has contributed to the City of West Allis as a whole his valuable advice and counsel and has fearlessly upheld his principles of good government; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis many times has profited from his contribution of wisdom, advice, and action; and
WHEREAS, Alderperson Sengstock is deserving of special recognition and commendation for his years of leadership and dedicated service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that Alderperson James W. Sengstock be and is hereby specifically commended for his dedication and service to the citizens and businesses of the Fifth Aldermanic District of West Allis, and the entire City as a whole, and congratulated on a job well done.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council hereby extends to Alderperson Sengstock and his family its best wishes on his future endeavors and its best wishes for a long, prosperous, and healthy retirement.
Let this resolution be entered in the official minutes of the Common Council and a certified copy go forth to James W. Sengstock.
