Title

Resolution to approve a Commercial Façade Improvement Project Grant & Contract by and between the City of West Allis and Brian W. & Kim Peterson, property owner for the property located at 7201-72 W. Greenfield Ave. & 1411-1413 S. 72 St. in an amount up to $20,000.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City operates a Demonstration Commercial Façade Improvement Program funded with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funds from H.U.D.; and,

 

WHEREAS, the property is located within the Downtown West Allis Business Improvement District and is eligible for a façade grant; and,

 

WHEREAS, the property owner and current tenant have agreed to make certain improvements to the property.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Demonstration Commercial Facade Improvement Project Contract, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, be and is hereby approved.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Development, or his designee, be and is hereby authorized to execute and deliver the aforesaid Contract on behalf of the City.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be and is hereby authorized to make such substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of the contract, including any and all attachments, exhibits, addendums and amendments, as may be necessary and proper to correct inconsistencies, eliminate ambiguity and otherwise clarify and supplement said provisions to preserve and maintain the general intent thereof, and to prepare and deliver such other and further documents as may be reasonably necessary to complete the transactions contemplated therein.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that an amount up to $20,000 be appropriated from the Community Development Block Grant Funds to pay the liability that will be incurred under the aforesaid Contract by the City of West Allis.
