Resolution to approve bid of State Contractors, Inc. for the removal and reconstruction of the concrete alley pavement, storm sewer, storm sewer relay, utility adjustments and storm underdrain in various locations within the City of West Allis, in the amount of $940,458.15.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of State Contractors, Inc. for 2013 Project No. 6 be accepted.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of State Contractors, Inc. for 2013 Project No. 6 for:

for the sum of Nine Hundred Forty Thousand Four Hundred Fifty-Eight and 15/100 dollars ($940,458.15)

 

be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding by Sanitary Sewer Funds, Storm Water Management Funds, Water Utility Funds, Bond Funds and Funds from Special Assessments.
