Title

Resolution establishing the polling places for the Twenty-five Wards of the Five Aldermanic Districts for the City of West Allis.

Body

WHEREAS, based on the published results of the 2010 Federal Decennial Census of Population and 2011 Wisconsin Act 43, the City of West Allis is now divided into twenty-five (25) wards instead of the previously divided thirty five (35) wards; and,

WHEREAS, the polling places have been reassigned based on physical location and voting area size.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the polling places for the twenty-five (25) wards are assigned as follows:

First (1^st) Ward of the First Aldermanic District,

   Liberty Heights Park Field House at 6101 W. Orchard St.

Second (2^nd) Ward of the First Aldermanic District,

   West Allis Police Satellite Station at 6900 W. National Ave.

Third (3^rd) Ward of the First Aldermanic District,

   Longfellow School at 2211 S. 60 St.

Fourth (4^th) Ward of the First Aldermanic District,

   Fire Station No. 2 at 2040 S. 67 Pl.

Fifth (5^th) Ward of the First Aldermanic District,

   Longfellow School at 2211 S. 60 St.; and

Sixth (6^th) Ward of the Second Aldermanic District,

   West Allis City Hall at 7525 W. Greenfield Ave.

Seventh (7^th) Ward of the Second Aldermanic District,

   Heritage West Allis at 7901 W. National Ave.

Eighth (8^th) Ward of the Second Aldermanic District,

   West Allis Public Library at 7421 W. National Ave.

Ninth (9^th) Ward of the Second Aldermanic District,

   McCarty Park Pavilion at 2567 S. 78 St.

Tenth (10^th) Ward of the Second Aldermanic District,

   Recreation Center at 2450 S. 68 St.; and

Eleventh (11^th) Ward of the Third Aldermanic District,

   LaFollette Park Pavilion at 9418 W. Washington St.

Twelfth (12^th) Ward of the Third Aldermanic District,

   Madison School at 1117 S. 104 St.

Thirteenth (13^th) Ward of the Third Aldermanic District,

Nineteenth (19^th) Ward of the Fourth Aldermanic District,

Twenty-first (21^st) Ward of the Fifth Aldermanic District,

Twenty-second (22^nd) Ward of the Fifth Aldermanic District,

   Nathan Hale High School at 11601 W. Lincoln Ave.

Twenty-third (23^rd) Ward of the Fifth Aldermanic District,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said locations are hereby designated as the polling places for the City of West Allis, effective January 1, 2012.
