Resolution to approve bid of Illingworth-Kilgust Mechanical, Inc. in the amount of $236,335.00 for replacement of the existing 200 ton water cooled chiller located at City Hall with a new 150 ton chiller and replace the existing 150 ton chiller at the Police Station with a new 150 ton chiller in the City of West Allis. Work will include equipment, piping, controls, electrical and miscellaneous general construction work as required to provide a complete system.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of Illingworth-Kilgust Mechanical, Inc. for 2011 Project No. 2 be accepted.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of Illingworth-Kilgust Mechanical, Inc. for 2011 Project No. 2 for replacement of the existing 200 ton water cooled chiller located at City Hall with a new 150 ton chiller and replace the existing 150 ton chiller at the Police Station with a new 150 ton chiller in the City of West Allis, work will include equipment, piping, controls, electrical and miscellaneous general construction work as required to provide a complete system for the sum of  Two Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand Three Hundred Thirty-Five and 00/100 dollars ($236,335.00)

 

be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG).
