Resolution to approve bid of Globe Contractors, Inc. for the installation of concrete curb and gutter, concrete pavement, miscellaneous walk repair, driveway replacement, sanitary sewer relay, storm sewer, storm sewer relay, water main relay, building services and utility adjustments in W. Hicks St. from S. 76 St. to S. 81 St., S. 80th St. from W. Hicks St. to W. Rogers St., S. 81st St. from W. Becher St. to W. Grant St. in the City of West Allis in the amount of $2,592,491.80.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of Globe Contractors, Inc. for 2014 Project No. 5 be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of Globe Contractors, Inc. for 2014 Project No. 5 for:
the installation of concrete curb and gutter, concrete pavement, miscellaneous walk repair, driveway replacement, sanitary sewer relay, storm sewer, storm sewer relay, water main relay, building services and utility adjustments in:
West Hicks Street from South 76 Street to South 81 Street
South 80th Street from West Hicks Street to West Rogers Street
South 81st Street from West Becher Street to West Grant Street
PLAN FILE NOS. SP-1192, SP-1193, SP-1194, S-1508, S-1509, S-1510, S-1511, S-1512, S-1513, S-1514, U-2579, U-2580, U-2581, U-2582, W-1324, W-1325, W-1326, W-1327, W-1328
for the sum of Two Million Five Hundred Ninety-Two Thousand Four Hundred Ninety-One and 80/100 dollars ($2,592,491.80)
be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding by Sanitary Sewer Funds, Storm Water Management Funds, Water Utility Funds, Bond Funds and Funds from Special Assessments.
