An Ordinance to Create Subsections 10.106(8) and 10.107(11) of the West Allis Revised Municipal Code Relating to Temporary Daytime Parking Permits for Contractors.

The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:
 
PART I.  Subsection 10.106(8) of the Revised Municipal Code of the City of West Allis is hereby created to read:
 
10.106  RESIDENTIAL DAYTIME PARKING PRIVILEGES.

(8)  Temporary Contractor Permits.
 
(a)  "Contractor" means a person, business, corporation or other entity that undertakes a contract to provide materials or labor to perform a service or do a job at a location in the City.
 
(b)  Subsection (5) notwithstanding, a contractor is eligible for up to 3 permits for an identified vehicle or vehicles per address per month.  Such permit(s) shall be valid for one month, with a one month extension if the criteria set forth in subsections (c) and (d) are met.
 
(c)  A $15.00 per month fee is paid.
 
(d)  The permit shall describe the block of the street for which the permit is valid and the contractor shall be limited to parking on that block.
 
(e)  Any contractor wishing to extend a permit beyond the 2 month period set forth in Subsection (8)(b) shall first receive the concurrence of the alderpersons representing the district in which the block is located.  Such permits may be extended by aldermanic approval for an additional two months for a total of four months.
 
(f)  Any person aggrieved by the issuance or non-issuance of a permit under this subsection may appeal to the Safety and Development Committee of the Common Council.
 
PART II.  Subsection 10.107(11) of the Revised Municipal Code of the City of West Allis is hereby created to read:
 
10.107      RESIDENTIAL PARKING PRIVILEGES FOR COMMUTER IMPACTED AREAS.
