Title

Resolution approving a single source contract with Ehlers & Associates, Inc. for the preparation of the Tax Increment District No. 16 - S. 70th and Washington Street Corporate Office Corridor Plan in the amount of $15,000.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Community Development Authority of the City of West Allis (the “Authority”) manages all the Tax Increment Finance Districts (“TIF Districts”) for the Common Council; and,

 

WHEREAS, Ehlers & Associates, Inc. is under contract as the City’s Financial Advisor; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Authority on May 8, 2018, through Resolution No. 1282, approved a single source contract with Ehlers & Associates, Inc., relative to the preparation of Tax Increment District No. 16 - S. 70th and Washington Street Corporate Office Corridor Plan, and;

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Development and the Finance Department are seeking review of the City’s current and potential future TIF District options; and,

 

WHEREAS, it is necessary to enter into a single source contract to provide technical expert advice for strategic planning relative to the City’s Tax Increment Finance Districts.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis as follows:

 

1.                     That the Director of Development, or his designee, be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver the aforesaid single source contract with Ehlers & Associates, Inc. on behalf of the City of West Allis.

 

2.                     That the sum of up to $15,000 be and is hereby appropriated from future Tax Increment Finance District No. 16.

 

3.                     That the City Attorney be and is hereby authorized to make such substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of the amended sole source Contract, including any and all attachments, exhibits, addendums and amendments, as may be necessary and proper to correct inconsistencies, eliminate ambiguity and otherwise clarify and supplement said provisions to preserve and maintain the general intent thereof, and to prepare and deliver such other and further documents as may be reasonably necessary to complete the transactions contemplated therein.
