Resolution to approve bid of Visu-Sewer, Inc. for installation of sanitary sewer lining, sanitary spot lining and manhole grouting and lining from S. 72nd Street to S. 76th Street and W. Beloit Road to W. Jackson Drive in the City of West Allis in the amount of $290,608.00.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of Visu-Sewer, Inc. for 2011 Project No. 13 be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of Visu-Sewer, Inc. for 2011 Project No. 13 for:
installation of sanitary sewer lining, sanitary spot lining and manhole grouting and lining in:
S. 72nd Street to S. 76th Street and W. Beloit Road to W. Jackson Drive

for the sum of Two Hundred Ninety Thousand Six Hundred Eight and 00/100 dollars ($290,608.00)
be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council of the City of West Allis hereby approves said sanitary sewer lining, sanitary spot lining and manhole grouting and lining construction project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the sum of Two Hundred Ninety Thousand Six Hundred Eight and 00/100 dollars ($290,608.00) be and is hereby appropriated from Community Development Block Grant-Emergency Assistance Program (CDBG-EAP) funds relating to the June 2008 flood, for said sanitary project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Visu-Sewer, Inc. is required to adhere to all federal regulations associated to CDBG-EAP funding.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Attorney be and hereby authorized to make substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of the Contract, including any and all attachments, exhibits, addendums and amendments, as may be necessary and proper to correct inconsistencies, eliminate ambiguity and otherwise clarify and supplement said provisions to preserve and maintain the general intent thereof, and to prepare and deliver such other and further documents as may be reasonably necessary to complete the transactions contemplated therein.
