Title

Resolution to amend certain activities of the FY2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 annual plans of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.

 

Body

WHEREAS, there are approximately $481,986 in various Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) funds, awarded from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”), to be allocated and transferred to existing activities after the closing or reduction of other various activities; and,

 

WHEREAS, all CDBG-funded activities must meet national objectives of the CDBG Program, such as assisting the needs of low-to moderate-income people and preventing or eliminating slums or blight; and,

 

WHEREAS, various amendments to funding of existing 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 activities are listed below and shall hereby be approved; and, 

 

WHEREAS, the additional funding of said Liberty Heights Park Improvements and Veteran’s Park Improvements activities meet the CDBG eligibility requirements; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Development recommends the transfer of said CDBG funds.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis, that the following amendments to the FY2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) Action Plans are hereby approved:

 

 

1)                     Amendment to the FY2012 Community Development Block Grant Action Plan,

B-12-MC-55-0011, relative to decreasing the funding of and closing the Contingency activity (a 2012 activity) by approximately $1,972.

 

2)                     Amendment to the FY2013 Community Development Block Grant Action Plan,

B-13-MC-55-0011, relative to decreasing the funding of and closing of various 2013 activities (Six Points Parking Lot - Chalet, 2013 Contingency) by approximately $73,357.

 

3)                     Amendment to the FY2014 Community Development Block Grant Action Plan,

B-14-MC-55-0011, relative to decreasing the funding of and closing various 2014 activities (Surveillance Cameras LMA, Handicapped Accessibility - City Hall, 2014 Contingency) by approximately $98,769.

 

4)                     Amendment to the FY2015 Community Development Block Grant Action Plan,

B-15-MC-55-0011, relative to decreasing the funding of and closing various 2015 activities (Exterior Property Maintenance, Pedestrian Safety Improvements, Downtown Economic Development Assistance, 2015 Contingency) by approximately $307,888.

 

5)                     Amendment to the FY2014 Community Development Block Grant Action Plan,

B-14-MC-55-0011, relative to increasing the funding of the 2014 Liberty Heights Park Improvement activity from its original budget of $231,369 to an amended budget of approximately $472,362.  The additional funding of approximately $240,993 comes from re-programmed 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 funds cited above in numbers one (1) through four (4).

 

6)                     Amendment to the FY2015 Community Development Block Grant Action Plan,

B-15-MC-55-0011, relative to increasing the funding of the 2015 Veterans Park Improvement activity from its original budget of $40,277 to an amended budget of approximately $281,270.  The additional funding of approximately $240,993 comes from re-programmed 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 funds cited above in numbers one (1) through four (4).
