Resolution to approve bid of Globe Contractors, Inc. for installation of concrete curb and gutter, concrete pavement, miscellaneous walk repair, driveway replacement, sanitary sewer relay, storm sewer relay, storm sewer, water main relay, building services, utility adjustments and directional boring in West Rogers Street from South 67th Place to South 76th Street; South 67th Place from West Rogers Street to West Becher Place; Various Areas Bounded by West National Ave., West Greenfield Ave., S. 60th St. & S. 62nd St.; South 72nd Street from West Rogers Street to West Becher Street within the City of West Allis, in the amount of $3,077,230.74.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of Globe Contractors, Inc. for 2010 Project No. 2 be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of Globe Contractors, Inc. for 2010 Project No. 2 for:
installation of concrete curb and gutter, concrete pavement, miscellaneous walk repair, driveway replacement, sanitary sewer relay, storm sewer relay, storm sewer, water main relay, building services, utility adjustments and directional boring in:
West Rogers Street from South 67th Place to South 76th Street
South 67th Place from West Rogers Street to West Becher Place
Various Areas Bounded by West National Ave., West Greenfield Ave., S. 60th St. & S. 62nd St.
South 72nd Street from West Rogers Street to West Becher Street

for the sum of Three Million Seventy-seven Thousand Two Hundred Thirty and 74/100 dollars ($3,077,230.74)
be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding by Sanitary Sewer Funds, Storm Water Management Funds, Water Utility Funds, Bond Funds, Funds from Special Assessments and additional funding is anticipated from the DNR Clean Water Fund Program and the Community Development Block Grant Emergency Assistance Program.
