Resolution to approve bid of Roman Electric, Inc. for installing of LED retrofit kits at the West Allis Fire Department’s three fire stations and administration building in the City of West Allis in the amount of $72,610.00.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of Roman Electric, Inc. for 2016 Project No. 20 be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of Roman Electric, Inc. for 2016 Project No. 20 for installing of LED retrofit kits at the West Allis Fire Department’s three fire stations and administration building. This installation includes LED bulbs, power supplier and drivers, occupancy sensors, wireless controllers and emergency exit signs. This installation also includes new LED fixtures and interconnecting wiring in select locations. The City of West Allis is procuring the LED bulbs, power supplier and drivers, occupancy sensors, wireless controllers and emergency exit signs separately and will deliver these items to the contractor for installation at:

for the sum of Seventy-Two Thousand, Six Hundred Ten and 00/100 dollars ($72,610.00)
be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding by Capital Improvement Funds.
