Resolution relative to determination of an Application for a Special Use Permit for B&E Kitchen, a proposed shared kitchen and event space, to be located at 5901 W. Beloit Rd.

WHEREAS, Carlos Beltran c/o Beltran & Gill Properties LLC, duly filed with the City Clerk an application for a Special Use Permit, pursuant to Sec. 12.16 and Sec. 12.42(2) of the Revised Municipal Code of the City of West Allis, to establish event space (hall) and commercial kitchen within a portion of an existing mixed use building located at 5901 W. Beloit Rd.; and,

WHEREAS, after due notice, a public hearing was held by the Common Council on September 1, 2020 at 7:00 p.m., in the Common Council Chambers to consider the application; and,

WHEREAS, the Common Council, having carefully considered the evidence presented at the public hearing and the following pertinent facts noted:

1. The applicant, Carlos Beltran c/o Beltran & Gill Properties LLC, owns the property located at 5901-5921 W Beloit Rd. The proposed use includes an event space and a shared kitchen to occupy the western-most tenant space at 5901 W. Beloit Rd. (an existing mixed use building). The business owner also owns the building and plans to make phased exterior improvements after he has outfitted the interior for his proposed business.

2. The proposed event space is located within the existing building located at 5901 W. Beloit Rd., West Allis, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, more particularly described as follows, to-wit:

All the land of the owner being located in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 2, Township 6 North, Range 21 East, City of West Allis, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, described as follows:

Lots 1, 2 and Easterly 15.00 feet of Lot 3 in Block 10 of the McGeoch Farm Subdivision No. 1.
