Title

Resolution to approve amending the FY2015-2018 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plans.  

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Common Council has approved the FY2015-2018 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plans under Resolutions R-2015-0206, R-2016-0271, and R-2017-0307 respectively; and,

 

WHEREAS, the creation of a 92nd Street Plaza, Farmers Market Lead Abatement Project, Liberty Heights Park Improvement Project and amending the 2018 Economic Development Loan and Delivery Program Project are eligible activities and associated activity costs are eligible for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds; and,

 

WHEREAS, the projects enhance the neighborhood for low/moderate income families; and,

 

WHEREAS, the utilization of CDBG funds for the previously stated activities meet HUD requirements for the CDBG program; and,

 

WHEREAS, the proposed amendments were presented to the Community Development Block Grant Committee and the Director of Development recommended approval.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that it hereby amends: 

 

FY2015-2018 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan, B-18-MC-55-0011, to allocate $259,327 of contingency funds and $289,286 of FY2018 unallocated new funds for a total funding of $548,613 to following activities:

                     

1.                     Creation of a 92nd Street Plaza project with a budget of $40,000 from 2018 CDBG funds and contingency funds.

 

2.                     Creation of a Farmers Market Lead Abatement project with a budget of $350,000 from 2018 CDBG funds and contingency funds.

 

3.                     Creation of a Liberty Heights Park Improvement project with a budget of $150,000 from 2018 CDBG funds and contingency funds.

 

4.                     Amendment to 2018 Economic Development Loan and Delivery Program project with an increase of $8,613 from 2018 CDBG funds and contingency funds for a total budget of $208,613.
