Resolution adopting the Comprehensive Park and Outdoor Recreation Plan 2016-2020.
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council approved the proposal of Ayres Associates (formerly SAA Design Group) for providing Professional Services on Resolution No. R-2015-0088 on April 7, 2015; and,
WHEREAS, the City has generated income from a loan from the City of West Allis to First-Ring Industrial Redevelopment Enterprise LLC (FIRE) and then from FIRE to Edwards Allis LLC and/or Joel Lee; and,
WHEREAS, a Communication from the Mayor of West Allis regarding utilizing the income generated from the loan, to fund a Parks and Open Spaces Study was approved by the Common Council on November 3, 2014; and,
WHEREAS, the first step of the PPIP is to create a Park and Outdoor Recreational Plan to help prioritize park needs and improvements; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Comprehensive Park and Outdoor Recreation Plan be adopted and direct all appropriate staff to begin its implementation.
